The GUUDs poses the question — what if we treated our public goods with as much reverence and pizzaz as we treated our startups. We invest in our public goods just like we invest our time and money in high-falutin’ startups … so we thought it was time to start looking at “the guuds” that are already here. From parks, to sidewalks, to libraries and beyond, our tax dollars are buying us some serious resources.
We made The Guuds to celebrate the public goods we’re all paying for, and to look to a future where those goods become guuuds. Top-tier, beautiful, and high-tech resources we all can share. Plus we really wanted a cool t-shirt celebrating water fountains.
We’ll add GUUDS drops as we come up with more guuds (and as we come up with guuds we’d want to have. Free college perhaps? ). Sign up for our newsletter for the latest drops (and little else … we want you to spend your time out enjoying what your tax dollars are paying for.)
yes we know taxes pay for some … other stuff. But we’re celebrating the guuds here. (the baaads … we’ll get to THOSE later. For now, you can learn about where your tax dollars go here. ANd if you don’t like what you find, go figure out how to vote here.)
